I love the book of James. It is probably my favorite book in the New Testament, because without a shadow of a doubt, Ya’aqob (James) is teaching the goodness in upholding the Law of God.
In chapter two, James makes the case that the believers should act on their faith daily, proving their faith in deed, as much as in heart. He compels his readers to consider what differs their own faith from that of the demons. Even the demons believe in the Name, Authority and Power of the Most High. But what separates Yahweh’s children from Satan’s servants? It is our actions. By our actions, we can show everyone around us the goodness of God.
Chapter Two
Here are some of my favorite verses from James Chapter two.
If you truly accomplish the sovereign law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well. . . — James 2:8
So speak and so do as those who are to be judged by a Torah of freedom. — James 2:12
My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him. — James 2:14
So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe and shudder! — James 2:17-19
You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone. — James 2:24
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works. — James 2:26
Message of the Day
Our actions speak louder than words, and our actions reflect who we are and what we represent.
Do not tell those around you what you believe. Show them.
Blessings!
