On the horizon, do you see it coming? The roaring of symphony and trumpets, do you hear it? Like ten thousand armies fast approaching. There is nothing you can prepare for or escape from by running.
No plane moves fast enough to outfly it forever. No army can hold it back, no weapon can change its march.
Its beauty is undeniable. It’s power leaves the beholder in awe. It ignites all it touches, triggering chemical reactions, and staggering any who try to escape its heat.
This is one of the great powers in the creation, it dawns daily and causes most weather, as well as making life possible. It is the sun, and it is splendid, a blessing, and it’s dangerous.
On darkness, or sometimes in broad daylight. When it is dark you can best appreciate it’s light. Affecting the tides with it’s push and pull. Sometimes darkening the day with itself for a spell. The Queen of the Night reflects the light of the King of the Day. Its glow can feel cold, but its light is welcome in the night.
Position and shape and size, declaring the seasons, proclaiming the time.
This is one of the great powers in the creation, it waxes and wanes, and moves the seas. With different colors, shapes, and shades, it’s a celestial masterpiece. This queen is the moon, and she is incredible to behold. No matter her scars or marks, her beauty is still whole.
Out of the depths in waves of fury. Molten rage and liquid embers ignite anything in its way. Smothering, suffocating, entombing. But new life can begin even after what is so dooming. The blood of the earth gives way to new life. The fury of heat to new times.
Eventually giving way to the most life-giving soil.
This is one of the great powers of the creation. It rises from deep within the world. Sometimes its eruptions are like a great bomb. Sometimes in a seeping, slow drawling slog. It is lava, the earth’s blood. Molten rock.
Crashing endlessly, never still, never stalling, ever-shifting. Eroding, vaster than fathomed. Still with much unexplored, filled with life, light and dark, bright and dim. Holding the earth in its embrace, wrapping all about her like a cloak, shielding her from view. Hearing and heeding the Moon’s command. Giving up itself to decorate the sky with the Sun’s heat on hand. Lending its life to give life to the land.
This is one of the great powers of the creation. It rises and falls, houses and contains. Erodes and carries and builds. It is the sea, the storehouse of life that makes this planet more blue than green.
The stars on high thunder and give praise. The seas roar, and the mountains point on high in towering splendor. The sun and moon shine bright in a feeble attempt to emulate, the earth below is home to an elated song of praise!
The Powers of Creation are wonderous to behold and to give ear to. To learn of, to enjoy, to be in awe of.
But their majesty is only the product of a superior imagination. An image created in the mind of He who brings all into being.
He is an artist, a scientist, an architect, a designer; A mathematician, a chemist, the Atomic Aligner. Not a molecule a smidge off center escapes His attention. Not a creature of His artistry goes without His notice. Free will given, with a plan and contingency for each and every action. Outside of time with plenty of power and patience to prepare, He is the creator and He will do what He will.
The Powers of Creation are naught compared to Him. With the Universe in hand, He commands the cosmos. With each life on His mind, He knows every combo.
Nothing escapes His attention, nothing escapes His will. Every last rebel, knowingly or not, is underneath His heel.
He is justice. He is power. He is judgment. He is a warrior. He is alone worthy of all praise!
And yet, He is merciful in His mastery. He gives grace again and again and again. He is unfathomable. There is no way to measure. His love is an unending sea!
He is the Creator. He is the power above all powers, and His decrees will not be denied.
All power and all glory belong to Him. God. King and Lord of the creation He spoke into existence.
The Elohim of Elohim. Jehovah. He is Yahweh. The Great I AM. The Creator. God Almighty.
He who brought stars to life is the same who loves and holds on to you and me.
